Slideshow made with Smilebox |
and if you know me at all – you know how HARD it was to cram a whole year (especially a year like this one!) into one teeny tiny slideshow.
I have so much more to say about stuff….and yet maybe its better left unsaid. Maybe this year should just slip on by like all the others before it. It wasn’t a bad year exactly. But it certainly had its “ungood” moments. It was a growing year. It was a challenging year. It was a year that I never would have dreamed of or planned or even imagined. I’m still not sure if the person I am entering 2012 is better, different, worse??? – than the person I was entering 2011. I’m sure of one thing – i’m still just as tired as I was last year at this time!
we made it to the end of the year without another hospitalization (not because she didn’t try her hardest to get there though – we have just learned how to outsmart her body on most things. and because Atkinson General is pretty well stocked!) But this is a huge milestone.
I’ll have more to say on the year ahead in another post.
So for now we’ll just bid 2011 a fond farewell. Thank you for the lessons learned, for the days spent together – for the opportunity to see another year.
Happy Auld Lang Syne and all that happy horsecaca to you – my dear friends and family!
love,
me.
At our house, it could be called “Bell General Hospital”. Almost every. single. winter. I and mom end up with the lovely bronchitis junk which for me means cough syrup that tastes nasty, Vicks VapoSteam in a little crockpot in my room, a big kettle of it on the stove, as well as my personal favorite (NOT!!) the lovely every 4 hours nebulizer treatments!!!! And if the lungs are really misbehaving, Amoxicillin and awesome tasting Prednisone (unless I’m smart and call and ask for Decadron which does the same thing as Prednisone but w/o the gross taste).
