Fire is Life: Find Yours.

I used to be a huge Survivor fan. You know the show, where 36 castaways are dropped off in a remote deserted location with the clothes on their backs and a plastic magnifying glass and 93 grains of rice and left to survive life for 40 days until only one is standing? And their tribe mates vote them all out one by one?
GREAT show. Seriously.
(Truth be told if I ever had any time to watch TV I’d still totally be watching it.)

But through all the seasons, there was one thing Jeff Probst, the host/narrator, always said at their Tribal Councils when they would begin the voting:
“Fire is Life. If you have Fire, you’re still alive.”
And symbolically, when someone was voted out – they would have to extinguish their fire.

When I was starting to create my program to help women Find Their Fire last year, i thought of this example many times. Because when you stop and think about it – equating fire to passion, excitement, a zest for LIVING – it’s true. If you don’t have any of that….are you LIVING? or just barely surviving….?

I had created this webinar as a means of both telling my story, and introducing some basic concepts around the “Find Your Fire” theme that i speak of so much. It is a little long, but i hope you’ll give it a listen. Maybe i’ll even make this a podcast soon some day. And if you don’t have time to watch the whole thing, I’ll do a recap of the 5 points over the next few days.
It starts with this~

If you’re looking to find your fire, you gotta start by admitting that your fire as you once knew it is gone. Whatever that fire IS, or WAS, if you dont have it anymore? It’s because you’re on a different path. And you need a new fire. But it’s right there – everything you need is right at your fingertips, and right inside that beautiful heart and mind of yours. I know because i found myself there – on the metaphorical cold, dark, damp floor of a deep cave, one I’d created myself from years of heartache, pain, and unanswered questions. There was no magic pill or special formula  – it was just a few steps that involved some hard excavating work in my thought processes and mindset.

Anyways – I kind of go over it all in this long video.
(truth be told, i recorded this a few months ago. i know it’s a tiny bit disjointed at the end. i hope to be able to re-record it someday soon. Please watch it with whatever grain of salt you can and hear the intended message~ that there is always hope, and there is always a way through your darkest times.)

I hope it helps even one person out there.

Whatever you’re going through, you can do this.

And if you need to talk, well, here I am.

Thanks for being here.
