WOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so excited – I hit the buy it now button for my indigo girls tickets this morning! My good friend Cheryl Lynn has agreed to go with me. I am so looking forward to a fun nite out together! For some reason this week, I have been tireder than usual. It could be this sucky weather we are getting – where we have these massive swings from 45 degrees above, no jackets, practically spring, to a near blizzard with 50 mph winds and wind chills of 30 below in a matter of 7 hours. I feel cabin fevery, not really wanting to take the girls out in this kind of weather, and yet – we’re all climbing the walls with craziness. How did the pioneers do it? I mean, honestly, its a wonder we’re all here at all, that they didn’t all just go batshit crazy and get all cannibalistic on each other and stuff.

Ok apparently I need coffee or cheetos or some combination thereof. I forgot to eat dinner last nite and breakfast this morning and now I am having massive sugar swings cause of it. And i need laundry detergent.

Thank God I have at least one willing happy model to practice on!

OK i am going to go try to go get myself out of this funk.

Like the headbands and tu-tu’s here ? I think I am gonna list a few on etsy. We’ll see how it goes.

Due to popular request, I am hereby exhibiting a real live demonstration of the fish feeder in actionblog128a. Prepare to be amazed!

And here’s a better close up view. An Aquarium Photographer I am not.blog128b

So there you have it. How to feed an eel its own little handfed fishy meal. How do they survive in the wild? And when do I start fearing for the lives of the little fishies that we actually WANT in the tank, not as part of someone’s meal?

How are you this Monday? I actually got up and worked out today. I did a liver cleanse flush thing this weekend. If you have never experienced the joy of drinking a cup of epsom salt water followed by an olive oil chaser  – let me tell you – you HAVE NOT lived!!! Try it sometime. Guaran-damn-teed to make you want to puke your guts out. But I will say – I do feel much healthier/less toxic, so I guess it worked? And now I am sitting here bloggin and chillin to some tunage before the midgets wake up. (Is it unPC to call my kids midgets?)

Little Pirate action going on now, but just before this it was some vintage Ms. Spears pre-breakdown days, a little Kid Rock, and some Peter Gabriel for good measure. Life is good with a peanut butter english muffin, some goodtunes, and a little peace and quiet before the chaos of this day/week kicks in.

We have  a doctor appointment followed by a high speed jaunt across the county to a birthday party at chuck e cheese, after which we will dash like madmen up to school so K1 can make it in time. Neat. Pray I don’t get a speeding ticket. Oh great. now i’ve breathed life in it. REBUKE IT REBUKE IT!!

Ok some more pics to share:

Apparently I forgot to share here that we had a new member join the family. Quincy (the female boxer) went to live with her new family, and since I was STILL missing Toby in the worst way, we went toblog128c the humane society and found this handsome young gentleman. His name?

Kitty.

What can I say, I’m a creative original.

Just an adorable shot of my adorable baby. She is hopefully over this ear infection she has had blog128dsince November. What a happy baby and a TOTALLY different baby than the one I brought home from the hospital with bad reflux.

And then here’s a few pictures from a day I like to file under "Ask a stupid question.."

the question?

Why are all the animals and rocks lined up in the hallway?blog128f

the Answer:

oh.

of course.

that makes total sense.

And this, dear friends, is why I act slightly insane most days. Because i AM slightly insane.

But a happy insane. i wouldn’t trade this insanity for anything. God is good all the time.

Focus on what’s really important today, not the random stuff that usually clogs up our immediate vision.

oh and Faith- you were right. Its from the excellent movie directed by Francis Ford Coppola, The Godfather. when Sonny wants to go to the mattresses.

till next time -

lemme see ya one-two step.

As in

"leave the gun, take the cannoli".

If you can name that movie – leave me a comment! and HOLLA!!!

Anyways – cannot believe I haven’t blogged in forever. What, almost a month? so much for new years resolutions to be a better blogger!

Today I woke up at 4 am because I could smell the tart i left burning all nite starting to scorch. Sometimes I am glad Ben isn’t here…that would be one of those times! WOW would I have been in trouble for that one! but its a good thing he loves me so that now he can just laugh about it from the comfort of his own hotel room far far away! So then I got up, turned it off, and laid in bed for the next two hours just thinking of the gojillion and one things I have to/want to/ am excited to do. I have been told I am "too busy", but really, its times like this that i feel MOST energized, ready to grab life by the horns and go for a little ride! I just am not ORGANIZED enough to make it all happen gracefully. I am best summed up by a kickin’ ballad from the 80’s by a talented group of young men who call themselves "The Scorpions":

Here I am {insert air guitar riff}

ROCK YOU LIKE A HURRICANE!!! {insert guitar riff and mumbo jumbo soprano range na na na na na na}

I kind of just explode into my own life. Its like one day I just get this burst of energy and decide to do 79 things and they all must be done RIGHT THEN AND THERE. But I haven’t planned for those 79 things, nor have I ensured that the 12 things I was doing the day before  are completed. Lack of organization – gets ya every time. So I sabotage myself. And since I am classically passive aggressive, instead of facing the things that aren’t done, I just start a new project so I don’t have to finish the old one. So I constantly have all these things just sitting there on my to -do list, like a chinese plate spinner (I just know that phrase is going to get  me a google search hit!)

But they’re all GOOD things! That’s what i tell myself. They’re all great things and I have the best of intentions, I just have no foundation (called organization) upon which to build my intentions. There IS a solution somewhere though that will work for me and this crazy life I lead. The key is just finding it.

I am sure I will be back for more later today. i have to blog about the newest addition to our family. The Eel.

Which I must HAND FEED a small fish to.

with a device ben invented known as the "Fish" "Feeder". {Picture me doing my Dr. Evil finger quote thingy here". Or Chris Farley the "motivational speaker". Whichever floats your boat.}

More fun times from the eye of the hurricane coming soon.
